Overview

This document will go through the steps to upload your ride activity in the form of a .FIT file to The Breakaway. Currently this feature is in a beta testing phase, so please send along any unexpected results or bugs that you may encounter to [email protected].

Some known issues that we are currently working on fixing:

  1. .FIT files can only be uploaded one at a time. We don't currently support bulk uploading.
  2. If you add .FIT files that are earlier in time than your earliest synced ride on The Breakaway, you won’t be able to scroll back in history to see them. We are working on a fix for this.
  3. For now, any manually uploaded activities will have a title “Manual Upload.” We are working on an edit function for ride titles.

Download the .FIT file from desktop

The simplest method to make your activity available to upload to The Breakaway is to download it to your phone or desktop.

Most platforms will allow you to download a .FIT file of your ride from their website. Here is an example from Strava.

  1. From your preferred platform of choice, select the ride that you want to export.
  2. In the detail view find the options menu.
